i was about 10 years old. my mother worked nights and wouldn't be home until 12:30 am. i didn't have my own room unlike my brother so i slept with my grandmother in a twin bed on the opposite side of the room. the wall that my bed was against had the stairs leading up to that floor on the other side. the room is on the 3rd top floor of my house. around 12:30 am i heard someone begin to slowly climb the stairs. at that rate i thought that it shouldn't have taken more than 30 seconds to reach the top. it lasted for 10 MINUTES. the steps just rising and rising and rising. i was very frightened especially when it reached the top because that was wher the door to our bedroom was. nothing happened then. i asked my mother the next day what time she got home from work and told me , not until about 2:30 because they gave her some overtime. occurrences like these were common in my house up until a few years ago. strange crashes in the other room but nothing would be! out of place. images or shadows of people moving about our home. i remember when i was younger and would stay in my brothers room when he would stay at a friends house for the night that like clockwork every night at 11:00 pm noises like the furniture in the room directly above was being moved around and rearranged but when investigated there would be nothing out of place. as a teenager i started to read about unusual phenomena the occult, new age beliefs and so on. i convinced my cousin to spend a week with me and during his visit use a ouija board. we were both somewhat skeptical but were always willing to prove or disprove the unexplained. we made contact with two spirits named eck and uegene. uegene told us that they were spirits connected to this house for some reason. uegene described hinself as being quiet and always enjoyed keeping to himself in life as well as in death, eck on the other hand apparently was responsible for all the strange occurences in my hous! e ever since i could remember. uegene described him as being a tasteless prankster in death as he was in life. since that time a few scattered events have taken place but not as often. a few years ago they seemed to stop all together until my family started seeing things that were almost had to be complete hallucinations. not as often as when i was a kid, now they are further spaced out but stronger. like one night that i went out clubbing with my friends my brother said that he saw from the bottom of the stairs leading to the 3rd floor a dark figure walk into my bedroom, which is the room directly above what was his room, he grabbed his gun thinking that we had an intruder and ran to investigate. he said that my room no longer looked disheveled, or lived in, but looked as if someone had ransacked it. he checked the closet and found no one. he then ran and got my father and upon their return found my room in the same order i usually keep it in. uponmy return i found n! ot one thing out of place. odd huh? How it changed my life:i wouldn't have such an interest in the unexplained and alternative religions.
