The Saints are REAL!!!

The story I’m about to tell you does NOT involve me personally. It was told last year I believe (1997) by Father Joe (former Pastor to St. Theresa Church) to a friend of mine who is the Religious Education Director at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Palm Springs California. Father Joe’s mother was dying from some sort of blood disorder and because of her illness, it was necessary for Father Joe to leave Palm Springs and return to Ireland. Upon his arrival to his homeland he stayed with his sister. The sister was very distraught about their mother’s condition and continually prayed to Saint Theresa for some sign that their mother would be “all right”. Father Joe’s sister wasn’t praying for their mother’s recovery, but praying that their mother would be safely in God’s hands at her death. She prayed for a sign of roses. Mind you, the time of year in that part of the world was winter. It is impossible to find roses in Ireland pretty much any time of year.... a “rarity” you might say. Over the weeks that followed their mother’s physical state began to go down hill rapidly. Ultimately the hospital called the family together to say their final good-byes. Father Joe’s mother passed away in the early morning hours with grace and peace. Joe’s sister still had NOT received any sign from her beloved Saint Theresa. The tormented sister all but damned any further prayers and petitions to the Saint that she loved so dearly. When the family was ready to leave the hospital, a nurse that had been on duty cornered Father Joe’s sister and asked if she knew of a woman that had delivered roses to their mother the previous evening and of course no one within the family could identify such a person. His sister’s petition had been answered and their mother had been touched by the very grace of God. I was asked to tell this to anyone that I could and I really could think of a better place than the web...... I believe my friend who’s friend is a priest...... therefore I believe if you storm the heavens enough with prayer and heart that God will be there to answer you back!!!............. Mrs. Torres, Catchiest for St. Theresa’s Church... Palm Springs, California

How it changed my life:

This story simply deepened my faith in God,in Jesus Christ and the Saints

Date: 5/28/2000 8:35:00 PM  From Authorid: 5484    GOD IS REAL AND DOES HEAR US IN OUR DARKEST HOURS.
Date: 8/18/2000 12:44:00 PM    It is always wonderful to hear a true story of Saint Therese sending roses from Heaven. She promised she would spend all her time in Heaven doing good things for people on earth; to let them know she would send roses. God does send roses through her. She sent me THOUSANDS of roses on DEAD plants one morning in response to a prayer I was making for her help. It turned out the roses came on May 17, the anniversary of her canonization. God & His Saints are indeed real. James Hepler
Date: 10/29/2000 7:59:00 AM    The date is 10-29-00 I just lost my mom last night, after a long history of illness. She fought to stay on this earth until all her loved ones asked her to no longer fight it, and to go with God ,and I truly believe that's what helped her end her fight . If you have someone who's fighting to stay alive, let them know that it's alright to go with God . For I feel that the struggle is to help you grieve, and that is why they're hanging on . Take comfort in knowing there going with God and his angels.
Date: 4/3/2001 3:55:00 PM  From Authorid: 23866    That was a beautiful post, thankyou for sharing it. I have never been sent roses, but I have smelled them when none was present, and in the winter, no doubt. ;) --Lady Amalthea
