For several years now, my daughter has been telling me about the 'persons' and/or 'people' that she sees. Sometimes she just catches glimpses of the individual from out of the corner of her eye. Other times, she sees them quite clearly. I have questioned her about the sightings several times and came to the conclusion that she might be seeing angels. I have kept in mind that she might just be halluci- nating and have kept a watch over her looking for any signs of mental instability or 'craziness.' My husband and I bought a house approximately three years ago and both my daughter and I have 'sensed' someone hanging about. Both of use have the impression that the person is an older male. I believe the 'ghost' for lack of a better word (maybe manifestation would be more appropriate, is that of the former owner of the house. He died a few years before we bought the house, but his widow continued to live there until the sale of the home. My daughter provided a physical description of the ghost that matches that of the deceased owner. This in spite of the fact that she herself has never seen photos of the dead homeowner or has ever heard anyone describing the man. She usually catches sight of him in the garden, or on our front porch by the huge livingroom window. The deceased spent most of his time puttering around the garden and maintaining the house. She sees him so often that I've even asked the ghost not to appear so often to my daughter because it's beginning to upset her/scare her. Time will tell if he will honor my request. In case you're wondering, neither my daughter or I truly fear the ghost. It's just the idea of someone or something hanging around, especially in the shadows, that bothers us. I would prefer that my daughter not feel apprehension if in fact she is see- ing angels and ghosts. My only claim that the paranormal is being able to 'feel' things or people. How it changed my life:I have always been an avid reader, and have had numerous 'strange' experiences. I try to keep an open mind about these kind of things even if I can't understand them completely. I just don't want my daughter disrespecting the supernatural and offending someone/some- thing or bringing trouble upon us. I insist that we speak very carefully about these matters. I believe that there is more to life that meets the eye, than what our minds can comprehend. I just don't know what to term these type of events and just go along with the labels that others have used to describe our experiences.
