When I was 19 years old my best friend was my sister, Erica. Even though there was a three year difference in our ages we were often mistaken as twins. We were the closest two out of nine children and we shared almost everything. Of course we got on each others nerves as all sisters do but I wouldn't have thought twice about dying or even killing for her. One night in 1989 I had this disturbing dream. I was at our mother's funeral and my sister was not there. I became irrate and cursed her for her apparent lack of concern. At that instant our mom appeared beside me and said,"It's ok baby, I know where she is and it's ok." I immediately called my mom, told her of the dream and she told me that she was fine and I needed to go back to bed. About a month later I had the same dream. Word for word and scene for scene....nothing was different. I called my mom again, asked her if she was ok, related my dream to her and she again told me that she was fine and for me to go back to bed. About a year later I had the SAME dream again, nothing was different. The next day I told my mom about it and she told me,"Well, you have had the same dream three times so some aspect of it will come to pass." On May 16, 1990 my sister was murdered. She was found on the 22nd, identified on the 24th and buried on the 27th. Later my mom pulled me aside and told me,"Well, I guess now you know why Erica wasn't at my funeral in your dream." How it changed my life:I never take dreams lightly
