Mr. Mount the Hermit

Do you know one of those people who sort of pull their way out of society? Well in my little one-horse-town there is one named Mr. Mount, he has about twenty dogs, and at one time had about three cows that he bought out of sheer love because they were going to the slaughter house and his heart would allow that and that's also how he got all his dogs, someone kicked them out and he takes everyone of them. He lives in this very old, old, old, cabin. It looks as if it needs to fall over or just burn down. He says it is very comfortable but it would be very hard for me to get comfortable in a house that has over five dogs and straw hay for a bed-sofa-loveseat-dogbed. My parents say he is a kindly old man but I think he is hiding something. People say he is a HollyWood Hair Dresser but I think he is an escaped criminal from an old ball and chain gang that was prosecuted for murder in the worst degree. They know him, and sometimes take pitty on him and bring him some lunch or something and every time we see him he looks at me as if I were glazed ham and he were a starved dog. You can't investigate because his land is posted and he has this grey houd dog that is very mean and he loves to bight on peoples tires and a matter of fact he has put holes in one mans tire. But one of these days I am going to slip into his old shack and see what's going on in that little over size out house if I can get in with out getting shot at or bitten.

How it changed my life:

I always stare back at him!

Date: 10/12/1999 6:58:00 AM  From Authorid: 408    You better leave him alone. If he is not bothering you, why go sneaking around his property? If you want to know anything, why not take him some lunch one day and sit and talk to him. It would be a lot safer than sneaking into is house.-K.
Date: 10/13/1999 6:50:00 PM    This story is great and so are all your all your other stories, I read them all, there all good too but this one is probably one of the greats. I woukd rate this a 10.
Date: 10/17/1999 9:19:00 AM  From Authorid: 820    Why don't you just leave that old man alone. Don't let him get to you. He lives how he wants. Just like you would rather have 1st class luxury. He would rather have what he has. Just let him be. -nicole
Date: 10/17/1999 9:46:00 AM    I am the hermit. I am coming for you tonight. Beware! Beeeeeeewaaaaarrreeeee!
Date: 11/3/1999 6:51:00 PM  From Authorid: 277    Leave the poor guy alone. Maybe he lives the way he does because he is literally a "poor" guy. Did you ever stop to think that maybe he has all those dogs to keep nosy people like you away from him? Maybe he enjoys living like this. What makes you think he's an escaped criminal? The holidays are near. Why don't you bring him lunch and talk to him. I'm sure there's nothing wrong with him.............Hawk
Date: 5/1/2000 3:13:00 AM  From Authorid: 8225    Sounds to me like you have had too many drugs and want an enemy. I hope his dogs maul you you sound like a very nasty person. Why would you want to disturb a person that has done nothing to anyone you know of. Get proof then explore until then....keep away
