Phone call from the other side?   Author: 969  Category:(Mysterious) Created:(10/10/1999 5:21:00 PM) This post has been Viewed (941 times) Many years ago while I was still school age I can remember overhearing this and at the time it gave me chills. Apparently what happened was that we came very close to loosing some of my cousins in a house fire. My cousins and some friends had, I think, had a bit of a party on this particular night and had all just dozed off in the loungeroom not bothering to go to bed. At some stage after falling asleep one cousin was woken by a phone ringing loudly and at first couldn't figure out what was going on as there was no phone in the room. The only phone was at the other end of the house and hard to hear through closed doors. Once he woke properly my cousin realised that the house was on fire, he got everyone out okay. The next day after the fire was put out they looked through the gutted remains of the house to see if anything had survived. When they looked through the linen cupboard the towels etc were burnt and when checking a piece of paper came floating down. It was my cousin's death certificate (he had died in a car accident), the only other thing to be saved was a photo album that had photos of my dead cousin.
