Two days later he killed himself. The day I turned 10 he was laid to rest. I had a really hard time dealing with it. After that we moved from Mn. to Ne. in my grandpas house. One night I was sleeping and I woke up to see my father standing infront of the closet. I thought I was dreaming. I could hear him talking but his mouth was not moving He told me everything would be ok and I would be fine. He also told me when I got married I would have a blue eyed girl and a brown eyed boy who would look just like me. Now I am 40 and I have a blue eyed girl 20 and a brown eyed boy 18. At times I still miss my dad. But I no I'll be ok because he's watching over me. How it changed my life: As a chid I thought I was seeing things until I was about 16 and my sister said she had seen him also. When I really need someone to talk to I just close my eyes and talk to him in my thoughts. I know he's listening.
