Do you know how a barn always has the smell of horses, no matter if you are 100 feet away. Well, this barn over by my ranch over by my house always has that smell because of they have over 15 horses. Well one day this strange guy and his wife came to this ranch in this nice Western Hauler Dually truck. They claimed to be a prospect for brood stock and were in desperate need of some good mares and perhaps a good stud if the price was right. Well the owner of the ranch told him that all his stock had a price but it might be high because he was real attached to his stock. Well this man looked over the stock that was in the barn and then asked if that was all of them, the owner said no, there are some rough stock out in the pasture. He asked to see them, so we hoped in the owners truck but his wife said she wasn't feeling so good and that she wanted to stay in the truck in the cool. So we left the lady alone in the truck having asked her if she wanted to go to the house and get some water and her reply being no. Well the man stated that he was very interested in the parts of the stock. When we returned to the barn we found the woman walking around in the barn with a lead rope in hand. we asked her what she was doing and she claimed to be petting the horses after a recovery form what she thought
was getting to hot. Well this did not seem to unsuall at all but later that week
the owner of the Rocking R Ranch called me to tell me to look at the paper .
I found the paper and looked around in it only to find a wanted ad for two criminals, there was a male and female described that fit the adentification of that prospectable couple.
And you know what they were in for, guess!!!
