This story was told over and over again by my dad and brother of something they witnessed back in the early 60's. I thought it was worth telling.Back in the early 1960's on a summer evening, my brother and dad walked to the store. On their way home, they noticed the neighbors (an elderly couple) sitting on their front porch enjoying the summer evening breeze. They decided to stop and chit-chat with them for a while before going home. After they had been on their porch for a while, the neighbors' dog Captain started barking like a mad dog. My brother immediately stepped off the porch with my dad following right behind him to see what the dog was barking at. As they looked up in front of the driveway which was around 15-20 feet, they noticed a tall dark silhoutte form that was shaped like a man but they couldn't make out any facial features and they said they couldn't see through it either. They said that the figure had started walking up the driveway but stopped when it approached the dog. As the dog started going closer to the figure, the ghost/spirit/whatever turned sideways and walked into the neighbors' bush and vanished. Out of curiousity, the next morning, my brother went back to the neighbors' house to inspect the bush and noticed that the bush was a solid, hard bush with no holes or openings, that not even a small animal could enter. How it changed my life:It didn't. My dad and the neighbors have since died and that bush has been replaced with a fence. But my brother will bring that story up every once in a while, especially when we pass that house.
