Well, we have been having such a hard time lately. I dont normally like to post about my problems per say. But, we have had the roughest time in this struggling economy. We are barely paying the rent right now.I am working and so is hubby, but there is too much month at the end of the money. So, we are barely able to keep our head above water.
Well, here in Virginia it has gotten soooo cold the last few days after so far a reasonably mild winter, although it is not winter yet, it sure feels like it.
My husband was at work yesterday, and I called him and told him, we didn't have any oil in the tank and it was sooo cold in here. I had a little space heater that was one of my grandmothers personal effects and I plugged that in. It was cold enough in this house to see your breath though.
My husband called his parents from work, and asked them if there was any way they could get us some oil, or another space heater. So, they got together the money they could and got another space heater. We put that one downstairs to try and get it warmer down there. In spite of that, it was still freezing in here!
A co-worker of my hubby's overheard him talking to his parents, he is a pastor at a nearby church. Well, yesterday evening, we get a phone call from his co-worker/pastor and he said he wanted to help us, as it had been on his mind since he heard my hubby talk about it. My hubby has a lot of pride and told him, he thought we would be ok.
The colder we got, I talked to my hubby and said you know, yes, we do have pride, but we need to get our kids warm right now. I called his co-worker back, and told him the situation and said my hubby is too proud to admit we need help. We would be willing to pay you back as well once we get on our feet.
So, he said dont worry about it, asked us where we got our oil from, and called and order 150 gallons for us just like that. I cried because it is so hard to find people like that these days.
I mean my own mother wouldn't give me 1.00 if I needed it. And for someone who does not know too well to pay $350.00 for heating for us is amazing to me. I truly believe that my husband and he were meant to be co-workers. Knowing him has brought us closer to the lord. We read the bible faithfully, we pray more. We are getting into church. I truly believe the lord has sent an angel to watch over us.

I am so glad I was able to post this. :) How it changed my life:I just think that the Lord is watching over me, and everyone who is having hard times. If he brings us to it, he will bring us through it. :)
