I'm sorry. I've been told if you 'suck it up' and take responsibility for it (Even if it may have been a bank error....don't get mad) They will sometimes reduce your overdraft fee's... |

I knew I was going to get some overdraft fee's cuz I had misread how much the school was going to take out of my account and planned for 30 less than what it actually was... But five overdrafts, for 3 things, not my fault.... So, I am taking responsiblity for the 3 that I know are my fault.... |

Ok.... So, I just got off the phone with the CSR for my bank, and they stated that they are valid fee's due to when the transactions came in. So, I guess, it was my own fault that I wound up with 5 fee's, instead of the 3 that my online statement is showing I should have gotten. |

I just think it's terrible that we get charged so many fees for being overdrawn when OBVIOUSLY we don't have the money, so it doesn't make gsense to charge us more so that we are deeper in the hole. Pfffttt!!! i'm sorry you have to go through all this. |

With most banks you are allowed at least one chance to reverse overdraft fees. I threw a fit with my bank when they did this to me and they gave me half of my money back, which was better than none LOL. |

Open a savings account and try to put $100 in it. Then if you overdraft your checking have the money get transferred from savings to checking. |

Yep, I got an overdraft fee one time when my account hit $0.00 balance. I called them and asked when did $0 become a negative number? And why did I have SIX overdraft fees for 2 items. They ended up taking off two of them.. but they charge once for the overdraft and again for EACH DAY the account is overdrawn... and then wonder why we can't get it out of the hole. But they also took off the fee for "overdraft" fee of $0. |

BTW, I would go in IN PERSON and show them what you are talking about. You shouldn't have 5 fees for 3 items. If needed, have them spell it out for you. That is what I make them do and usually they catch the mistake. I always admit "Yes, I did XYZ wrong..." and then explain that I will pay those fees but no others until they explain WHY I have the fees. |

I use a credit union, and they've done this to me before. I've had over $300 just in FEES because the credit union did something quite similiar to what your bank did to you.. and they wouldn't refund ANY of the fees even though we had never overdrawn before. They really know how to stick it to ya. |
