I think its okay to a point, but when it is taking time away from real life activities such a going out with "real life" friends, and other things, that may be a problem. I know I was really hardcore into gaming a few years ago, and really lost myself in that game. And I lost some good times with my friends as well, which I am regretting right now. It is a good escape, but it shouldn't be the only escape. You don't have to quit gaming, just don't play as much as you usually do. I quit my game for about a year, and am back to playing, but I only log on a couple times a week, rather then every single day for four or five (or more) hours a day. It isn't healthy hon. I know from experience.  |

But see thats just it, I stopped playing my actual game, but im still always on vent and such, cant seem to keep myself away  |

kind of sounds like it. the internet allows us to fantasize and idealize and our friends can be pretty much whoever we want them to be because we never have to face them. Try scheduling gaming time instead of making it your whole life.  |

Thing is with people you've never met how do you know that they are who they say they are, I've been there before, it's easy to get caught up cause online nothing is physical. You need to find some way to get back to reality.  |

I have to agree with the others that this is not healthy. I think lots of people have let the internet consume their real lives at one time or another. But, with a little will power you too can overcome this problem. Just limit your gaming time to start with. It always helps to talk with people who have had this problem in the past.  |
