One morning my mom,dad and I were sitting at the kitchen table talking. As in any normal conversation there was a pause,as though no one had anything to say right off.I was looking down at the table when I heard my dad say something completely off our subject.He said 'Damn,I hate rap.'I answered still looking at the table,'So do I.' My mom looked at me funny. Then my dad said to her,'Did you hear me say anything?' She said no understanding why he asked;I had just said 'so do I'out of absolute silence. Then he asked what I thought he said.I told him and he smiled surprized at my mom.After confirming with her that he didn't say anything out loud he said,'I didn't say it but I thought it.' How it changed my life:It simply made me aware that people are not just 'born' with the gift.Every- one has it,but it's just more developed in others.
