Well one night me and my two younger brothers were home alone. Me and my baby brother were sleeping in the living room and my other brother was in his room listening to music and talking on the phone with his door shut. All the lights and everything in the house was off except for in my brothers room. Well at the sound of a LOUD, 'CRASH' I suddenly opened my eyes and peered around the dark still room while I remained laying on the couch. I was so scared because the sound was so loud and so close that I thought the sound had come from inside my house. When I get scared, I won't move at all, so I layed there to listen if I could hear any movement from the kitchen. Well it seemed like forever, but a couple of minutes later, my brother comes from the room and asks, 'What was that loud noise?' I say, 'I don't know,' and follow him around the house to look and see what it was. After turning on every single light in the house and searching for anything that may have fallen and brok! e and after looking outside, we didn't see anything that may have caused that huge sound. Finally, still terrified we decided to give up and go back to sleep, so we did just that. Well later on that night, my mother came home and woke us up. 'What happened to the front kitchen window?' In shock we had no idea of what my mother was talking about. 'What do you mean?' Me and my brother asked. Then she asked us to follow her into the kitchen and we did so. To our amazement, the kitchen window that we had checked on earlier that night was shattered and the broken glass was all over the outside of the house. Me and my brother began to get the chills. How could that be? We had checked on that window earlier and it wasn't broken. My mother thought that we had broken the window until our terrified voices made her begin to believe our story. We looked around the house to see if someone may have thrown something at the window causing it to break, when we noticed that there was no glass o! n the inside and that it was all on the outside, which would mean that someone must have thrown something from the inside of the house, causing the glass to shatter outside. Hello? Which must have meant that someone was in the house. After we realized that me and my brother weren't comfortable in that house anymore. Soon after we moved, but that mystery still stirrs in my mind. What could have caused that window to break? I guess I'll never know...... How it changed my life:Well I am now more gullible to mysteries and other peoples stories of disbelief.
