I am writing this in response to the person who said they saw 'The End of it All'. I believe what you are dreaming about is, indeed, prophetic. In the Bible (the book of Revelation, I believe), a 'Lake of Fire' is described. This 'Lake of Fire' is where Satan, his demons, and all who do not accept Christ as Savior will be cast into when Christ returns. I would guess that the fire and lights you saw in the sky in your dream are the breaking of the clouds and the massive brilliance that is also described in the Bible as Christ 'reflecting a light so bright that many turned away and could not bear to look at it'. These friends you saw with you after the light were those who, for one reason or another, had never accepted Christ. If your story is completely accurate, you have described almost the same thing from your dream as John the Revelator states in the Bible. I don't know what position you take concerning religion; however, I strongly urge you to consider this ! dream as a personal message from God. I personally know some people who say they have had dreams such as yours, and it changed their lives, because God reveled something to them. I'm not trying to persuade you in any way...I'm simply trying to help you understand the probable meaning of your dream.
