Joyce named the child Tasha and the Morris' kept that name for their baby girl. As time went on, Tasha blossomed into a properous child. Received all types of honors in school. Then one day Thelma thought that it was the right time to tell Tasha the truth. Tasha was about 8 years old(or maybe 9). On the inside she took it pretty hard but she didn't want mommy to know. But mommy wasn't mommy anymore. Tasha didn't belong to her Jamaican parents. That would explain why she didn't have an accent like her parents. The subject was never brought again until Thelma started to think that Tasha didn't love her anymore because of the facts. When Tasha turned 14, Thelma constantly asked Tasha did she want to know her real mother. Tasha would always say no. Thelma wouldn't leave the subject alone. Richard never said anything about it. That was his child as far as he was concerned. Tash! a started to let the facts bother her constantly. The facts are: Tasha was either the 4th or 5th child that Joyce. Joyce is from North Carolina. In 74, she was living in the Mt. Pleasant area of D.C. Her sister was caring for her and the kids and couldn't afford to take care of Tasha too. As time goes on, Tasha has a 7 year old son who thinks that Thelma and Richard are his grandparents, but Tasha knows the truth. Tasha keeps thinking what if something happens to her or her son and on Joyce can help them? In the beginning Tasha hated Joyce for what she had done, but she's older and doesn't have resentment for the woman who gave birth to her. She would love to meet Joyce Coley. If anyone can help her locate her mother, please don't hesitate to help me. For you see, I am that baby girl who has been lost since 1974. Thank you.
