It happened around August 19th, 1997 around 8:30 pm. My youngest brother,two of his stepchildren and a friend of theirs were just north of Phoenix headed home to the Phoenix area. My brother was driving his Ford Aspire, a gift from his wife when he was hit by someone driving a yellow semi truck cab. It was not hauling a trailer. The force caused my brother to spin couple times out of control and at one time cross back in front of the truck that hit them and the driver hit their car again but on the driver's side this time. The truck never stopped. God was watching over my brother because none of the children had any serious injuries but my brother sustained the worst of it. He required several skin grafts and operations but his knees will not be the same again. It was several before he could go back to work again...as a doctor. I want to find the driver who hit them twice but left the scene and almost killed my brother. Most likely the person will get away with it as so many other hit and run drivers do. How it changed my life:I almost lost my youngest brother, that speaks for itself.
