Can our horse roller skate? We purchased a blue-eyed white horse about four years ago. We knew the horse would do tricks, but complete instructions were not included. My husband, has always been good with horses, whether it was breaking, riding, or teaching them tricks. He started discovering what the horse could do soon after we purchased hime. The horse that he now calls Trickster, and I call Bully, performs easily with my hus- band's direction. Trickster can kneel, bow, lay down on either side, and sit on his rear end, among other things. So, why do we think he might roller skate? My husband has often wondered about the horses' origin. The horse came with no registration papers, maybe because of his age, we aren't sure. After making an appearance on a local TV show, to find out if anyone knew about this horse, we re- ceived a call from a lady in Tennessee. This lady felt that our horse, was Jimmy, the roller skating horse, that she had a picture of in a Beery Horse Training Book. Jimmy was trained by the Beery method, sometime prior to 1976. The trainers name was not given. Jimmy, the roller skating horse, made an appearance at the Palisade Gardens roller rink. March 15,16, & 17 one year, maybe sponsored by or located at the University of Utah aat North Park. Could this be our Trickster Horse? If anyone has information about a this horse, would you please let us know. Our horse is a champagne white color with blue eyes, around 14.2 hands, gelding, gaited, wavy mane and tail. His tongue shows the maarks from his training or breeding. He was purchased in Bowling Green, Kentucky. We guess his age to be between 15 and 25. He is still a fun horse to ride.
