my grandmother was killed by her former husband(John Zaljada) back in 1929, my father was only 4. I would like to find out the ethnic background of the name Zaljada. My father has passed away in Jan of 86, and till this day my family and I do not know what his actual ethnic background is. When he died the confusion started. Our last name is Martinez,but my fathers birth certificate shows my grandmothers madien name being Galindo and his father name being Arguilar. What we cannot figure out is he Mexican, Mexican-American Native, or Mexican (maybe Polish (Zaljada), or American Native and Polish.
