A very close friend of mine, who I cared for very much, was taken in a motorcycle accident three months ago. I have been having trouble handeling this situation. A series of events have happened to me since his death. The night he was taken I became extrememly ill for a few minutes, later that night learning that it was the same time of the accident. I believe that was him reaching out to me. I have had a series of dream since the accident but there is one that stands out in my mind. I keep speaking to him, wanting to know if he is okay, and if he is still with me.....and I also keep saying that I do not understand why this happened. Two nights after his death, I found myself in a deep sleep where I was in an unusual place with one of my friends, and she kept asking me why we were there, I just kept telling her that I did not know, but I would know soon. We sat down on the edge of an off white wrap around sofa, and a few seconds after that, I felt someone tap me on the! back. When I turned around, it was Ray, my friend who was killed. He was sitting there in a military uniform. I began to cry and plead with him to come back to me, and that I did not understand why he had to leave. He wrapped his arms around me and began to soothe me, telling me that he was okay, and the he is not in any pain, and that I have to try to understand. He then placed his hands on my face and made me look him in the eyes, and listen to him carefully. He told me that he loved me, and that everything will be fine, and that he is still with me, but that he must go. He wanted me to accept that, and understand. I told him I would. He then kissed me, and that is when I woke up, sitting straight up in bed, gasping for air. When I realised that I was sleeping, I knew that is was not a dream. My face was soaked with tears, and so was my pillow. A few weeks passed and I was getting together with his mom, and another one of his friends. I went to his other friends house, that! I had never been at, and when I walked in I saw their sofa....it was the sofa from my dream. The only factor from the dream that I could not place was the military uniform, he was not in the military. Well that night at dinner, his mom started talking about things, and she mentioned that his father was in the air force when he was Ray's age That was the uniform he was wearing in my dream. I know he came to me, and I feel that he is with me everyday....I just wish I could still be with him. How it changed my life:Loosing my friend has changed my entire life. Everyday I look for him, and search for anything that may be associated with him contacting me. The dream I had was a blessing. I know that it was not a dream, but that it was him communicating with me the only way he could. I now pay more attention to everything that goes on around me, and every night I pray that we will be together again when it is my time. I feel this experience has brought out the true believer in me.
