This is part of a newspaper clipping that I have. The Oklahoma Journal (front page),'Baby Abandoned At Church', by Elviretta Heon. 'PURCELL - Preacher Tom Dixon of the Church of Christ this morning had one more voice to add to his Acapello choir-that of a newborn baby boy left in the church parking lot a few feet from the front door. Sheriff Joe Huddleston and other law enforcement officers in the Norman, Pauls Valley and Oklahoma City areas were on the lookout today for the person, or persons, who abandoned the 5 1/2 pound, blue-eyed baby in the early hours of Tuesday morning.' I have other newspaper clippings pertaining to this event. They all say about the same things. No person ever came forward with any information leading to the identity of my biological parents or possible siblings. My name is Ted Allen Goforth and I was adopted at the approximate age of 18 months. My adoptive mom and dad were driving home one day and were grieving the inability to adopt! a child. Mom was crying and Paul Harvey was talking on the radio about an abandoned baby boy named Little Moses. My dad said 'who knows, that might be our baby right there'. Over a year passed by and my dads words became a reality. I harbour no grudges or ill will toward my birth mother or biological father, I don't know what their circumstances were and it really does not matter but I would like to have an idea of where I came from. I would like to know if I have brothers or sisters. I would like for my biological parents to know that I do not hate them. I do not expect a grand re-union but if there were a re-union then it would be welcome. I do not have a family medical history. My wife and I are trying to have our first child and we have no way of knowing what might be expected on my side of the genetic pool except that the only childhood disease I suffered to my knowledge was the Mumps. These things may seem petty to some but they are all that I have, questions.! I was found in a cardboard box. Moses was placed in a basket and set in the river, this is why Judge Wilson named me Little Moses.

Why we are looking for them:

I cannot possibly answer that question except that I have always felt a sense of emptiness, a lack of identity.
