THINGS THAT GO JUMP IN THE NIGHT

It was the month of august in the year of nineteen hundred and eighty six, i just arrived in Lajas, Puerto Rico it's about 1:00am. I am a bit tired from the travel, so I laid down to sleep. Shortly after,or what appeared to be shortly after i heard something walking around the house. I peeked out of my covers to see if i can catch a glimpse of what i heard ,but there was nothing there so i turned and tried to go back to sleep. Then it happened , boom...boom...stomp...stomp..., i became frightened and was afraid to look out of my covers to see what was there,so i just listened. Closer ,and closer the sounds came,and the more scared i had become. Then it stopped, and eveything became quiet that is when i decided to take a peek out of the covers,boy what a mistake that was. At the same time, what ever it was jumped onto my bed and started jumping up and down on my legs. I screamed, but nothing came out of my mouth. It was as though all of my breath was taken from me. Fina! lly a small hollar cried out of me and whatever that thing was jumped of and ran into my fathers room . There i can hear the springs of my fathers bed as though there was something jumping up and down on it. I was to afraid to go look so i waited thinking that at any moment my father would wake up and get rid of what ever that was there. So i waited , two minutes passed or so it felt that long and then i remembered i had a flash light near my bed so i reached for it and turned it on and start looking for that thing that was roaming around the house. As i entered my fathers room the noise stopped and i heard something jump onto the floor and run into the corner of the room as i positioned the flash light to the corner i became very still and there in the corner of the room i saw nothing. I can't explain what had happened any better than this , to this day i still don't know what that thing was and my father doesn't even know what happened.

I had heard story's of strange occurances before but i refused to believe that things of this nature could happen. Since my ordeal i know now that i should always leave room for the unexplainable.
